It is the abbreviation of Computer Numerically Controlled machine, and with the use of the routers, the operator will create a part design to transfer the axis coordinates to the device. The machine can be used in different applications like cutting wood, milling metal or curving stone, and the woodworking routers are more common these days. Some people even make one at home! So now I’m going to talk about the CNC wood router machine.
Basically the CNC router machines used in woodcarving have one thing in common, that is, the vacuum pump. The requirement of the vacuum pump to the both systems is based on the types of materials being cut. And the reason why the machines need the pump is because they usually contain the suction systems, and the system has two types. The first type is that they hold the wood with suction through the table. And the second type is that the wood can also be held down by a spoil board, allowing vacuum suction through a low density table and place the parts anywhere on the table.
The CNC wood routers are controlled by computer, and the accuracy is all the matters. These routers usually work in environment with hundreds of same wood parts, waiting to be crafted. Compare to hand operated crafting; the routers can offer each production piece in a perfect accuracy, which leads the connecting between each piece well enough to save your working time. Moreover, the inaccuracy happened during the production may cause waste of the material, especially for some small woodworking facilities.
