Combination of Fiber and Optics - The Journey of Light

The fiber optics basically mean a combination of fiber, a bundle of thin glass or plastic strands and optics, as known as light.  In words, it means that light travel in the thin fiber glass in a speedy way.  Normally, the character of the fiber optic is to transmit  signals at very high speeds even in a long distance without the lost of data or the quality.  

Mostly, the fiber optic is used to transmit Internet data, images for TV or medical camera.  But the most common application is telecommunication, which can convert audio signals into digital information through the fibers.  Once a device receives the signal, it converts it back into audio information that the listener on the other end hears. In order to maintain its function, the technitian will use optical power meter to detect the light source and then make sure the journey of the data in the light is safe or not.  

Why Do We Use Remote Fiber Test System?

The fiber optics technology had been invented in early 1840s in Paris, when the inventors demonstrated the idea of making the light fountain and based the concept of fiber optics.  Nowadays, the optical fiber is widely applied and even makes our life “wireless”.  So, what can we do with the optical fiber?  The most common application is optical fiber communication.  Taking the advantages of the flexibility, the fiber can be bundled as cable and then become especially ideal for long distance communication.
