Our ‘automatic transmission kit & Module Option’ allows you, our customer, the flexibility of stocking a basic kit (Banner Kit) along with additional upgrade modules that can upgrade the base kit into automatic transmission kit. Traditionally, if a Retailer, Distribution Group, or Wholesaler wanted to carry the kits mentioned, it would have required 4 complete packaged kits and a greater inventory investment on the shelf. Pencil Coil

Pencil coils are used in vehicles with a fully electronic ignition. They are attached directly to the spark plug. With this coil type the high-voltage pulse is generated directly at the spark plug. The advantage: There is essentially no cable loss.

In addition, this compact design provides for valuable additional space - which is particularly important in modern engines - since the spark plug shaft and ignition coil would otherwise take up this essential space.

Due to its installation position directly in the cylinder head, however, this ignition coil type is subjected to higher thermal loads and often subjected to more vibrations.

Replacing an Ignition Module

NOTE: Because replacing an ignition module can be quite dangerous, this is a fix better left to an experienced mechanic.

Has your vehicle begun to sputter, stall, or be difficult to start? Have you tried all the usual fixes: checking the battery, checking the fuel line, adding a gas additive to rule out water in the fuel tank, and making sure the spark plugs aren't fouled?

If your vehicle is basically an around-town car, have you tried running it on the freeway for a while, just to blow out any carbon build-up in the engine? Any of these things can cause a reduction in the starting and overall performance of your vehicle.

If you've considered all of these possibilities and had no luck, it could be that your ignition module needs to be replaced. In case you aren't familiar with the ignition module, it is the intermediary device that, once you turn the key, transfers a signal from a sensor in the distributor to the ignition coil, which in turn makes the spark plugs fire. The ignition module could be in the distributor itself, on the outside of the distributor, or inside the compartment. Some modules also adjust timing.

When this component needs replacement, you'll have a variety of symptoms to let you know that it's time. Unfortunately, many of these symptoms are the same as for other engine or component problems, so you might need to do a little of your own automotive analysis to pinpoint this problem.

What Does The Crank Angle Sensor Do?

In most modern cars the crank angle sensor 'tells' to engine control (computer) the position of the crankshaft in ratio with the camshaft; both are syncroniced to an especific position to produce the combustion (that means the camshaft sensor to do the same) with this readings (from both sensor) the computer fire up the fuel injectors & the ignition coil by controling the frecuency of the fuel injection your engine is managed to proper performance & this start with the crank sensor trigger signal.

Ignition Coil

An ignition coil (also called a spark coil) is an induction coil in an automobile's ignition system which transforms the battery's low voltage to the thousands of volts needed to create an electric spark in the spark plugs to ignite the fuel. Some coils have an internal resistor while others rely on a resistor wire or an external resistor to limit the current flowing into the coil from the car's 12 volt supply. The wire that goes from the ignition coil to the distributor and the high voltage wires that go from the distributor to each of the spark plugs are called spark plug wires or high tension leads.

Originally, every ignition coil system required mechanical contact breaker points, and a capacitor (condensor). More recent electronic ignition systems use a power transistor to provide pulses to the ignition coil. A modern passenger automobile may use one ignition coil for each engine cylinder (or pair of cylinders), eliminating fault-prone spark plug cables and a distributor to route the high voltage pulses.

Ignition systems are not required for diesel engines which rely on compression to ignite the fuel/air mixture.

Pen-like input devices which are larger than a stylus, and offer increased functionality such as programmable buttons, pressure sensitivity and electronic erasers, are often known as digital pens.

How Captive Stylus Functions

There are several different kinds of capacitive stylus. But in general, they all work by using an array of sensors to monitor the electrostatic field around the screen. When your finger touches the screen, it changes the electrical capacitance of that portion of the screen. This is detected as a change in voltage at various locations. The microprocessor captures, filters, and analyzes the data. Then it calculates the coordinates of where the touch occurred. When a capacitive stylus is used, the same principles apply. The only difference is that the stylus is acting as a conductor to transmit electrical charge between your hand and the phone. In order to function properly, a capacitive stylus must meet several criteria.

1. A conductive surface: It must be able conduct an electrical charge between your hand and the screen. If the material is too resistive or if the distance between your hand and the screen is too great, the signal reaching the screen may be too weak to be detected.

2. At least 1/4 inch wide: When filtering data, the processor ignores areas that are significantly smaller than a human finger tip. This helps avoid unintentional activation. Having a stylus that is about 1/4 inch wide will ensure that there is enough surface area to be detected.

3. A relatively flat end: Having a flat tip ensures that the whole face can get close enough to the screen to be detected.

4. A smooth surface: This will ensure that you don't scratch up your screen.

What's the Best iPad Stylus for Touch Screen Tablets?

Length - Judging by the design of most styli on the market, length is not something a lot of people consider--but it is important. You want a stylus with a length that corresponds to the size of the device you'll be using it with. With a short stylus on a larger device like the iPad, you are going to have your arm and hand blocking a good portion of the screen most of the time. With a stylus that corresponds to the size of your device, you will be able to see all of the screen.

 

Apple Accessories

Rumors are circling that Apple’s major parts manufacturer, Foxconn, is trying to shift its business away from being as dependent on Apple. To do this, Foxconn is reportedly both looking at creating its own branded Apple accessories as well as by finding more clients to partner with in order manufacture more products.

While no figures have been released, analysts estimate that roughly 50% of Foxconn’s revenue comes from its work for Apple. As Apple continues to hire more and more manufacturing companies to help produce its products, Foxconn is looking to find other ways to make money that are less dependent on Apple. The company is reportedly now considering to manufacture and sell its own Apple accessories, like iPhone cases, as a different means of generating revenue.

While Foxconn would still be somewhat dependant on Apple if it were making accessories for the company’s products, it would have much more control than it does now simply manufacturing official Apple products.

Foxconn is also reportedly aggressively seeking more clients to sign manufacturing deals with. Foxconn already deals with several other major companies, including Microsoft, Sony and Amazon.

Foxconn’s revenue was down nearly 20% this past quarter, as sales begin to slow with no new Apple product releases.

iPad Stylus

Until Paper for iPad launched, we didn't know many people who were clamoring for an iPad stylus to use in conjunction with their iPad. Well OK, maybe it was Draw Something that spurred the rush, but if it's not completely evident, the stylus is making a bit of a comeback.

While no iPad stylus is perfect (how much fun is drawing on glass using a pen, really?), it is still an effective device that worths checking out.
